    Is there way to achieve migration feature ? Its important feature that i want.

    You can use tool like "imapsync" to migrate mailboxes from any other mail server which supports IMAP.

    2. I am buying  2 GB    1 vCPU    50 GB    2 TB    $10/mo   From DigitalOcean? is it enough for iredmail ?

    2GB memory is the minimal requirement for a low traffic production server.
    If you need to send/receive a lot emails, please consider increasing the memory.

    3. Which linux distribution is best compatible with Iredmail so that i can install that on digitalocean ?

    All linux/bsd distros listed on Download page are (officially) supported by iRedMail, We recommend to choose the one you're familiar with, for easier maintenance.
    https://www.iredmail.org/download.html

    By the way, due to FreeBSD ports tree is changing every day, and its binary packages don't match our needs, we do not highly recommend it.

    This is not right.

    %h or %Lh should be just /var/vmail/vmail1/.../user_name/, but no 'Maildir' appended.

    Yes, you're correct, %h is home dir not mail dir, sorry.

    But the fact is that removing the %L did the trick for me (luckily :$).  I didn't find any config file where  I manually append "Maildir" so it can be some kind of bug, I'm not sure, I'll give it another try this evening and keep this updated.

    UPDATE:

    I think I've found it, I have this configuration line:
    user_attrs      = =home=/var/vmail/vmail1/%Ld/%Ln/Maildir/,=mail=maildir:/var/vmail/vmail1/%Ld/%Ln/Maildir/

    That makes "home" and "Maildir" the same so that's because that "L" created the /maildir,  am I right?

    The value for user_attrs is from: https://docs.iredmail.org/active.directory.html

    Hi,

    I have a fresh new installation of iredmail, performed following the instruction for using an external MySQL server. I also added sa_bayes.

    I can log into iRedAdmin, but at the beginning I could not log into Sogo. The problem was the one described here: https://forum.iredmail.org/topic11776-i … error.html

    I solved the issue following this suggestion: https://forum.iredmail.org/post51660.html#p51660

    I was able to log into sogo and I tried to send an email between two internal accounts (from test1@mydomain.com to test2@mydomain.com). The message was "sent" in Sogo, but never arrived to the receiver and in the logs I see:

    Oct 3 05:28:15 mail amavis[2361]: (02361-04) (!!)TROUBLE in check_mail: gen_mail_id FAILED: find_or_save_addr: failed to insert addr test1@mydomain.com: sql exec: err=1449, HY000, DBD::mysql::st execute failed: The user specified as a definer ('admin_iredmail'@'10.133.59.88') does not exist at (eval 108) line 173. at (eval 110) line 116.

    I don't see any other view in the DB with that definer... maybe it is in some config file?

    Dear Zhang,
      I got this error messages, Notice: samba extensions not detected. CIFS authentication to LDAP disabled.
    so the next step is to install samba extensions on iredmail server?

    Thanks

    Hi iRedMail Forum,

    the mlmmj managment GUI in iRedAdmin-Pro is very good, as far as I can say by investigating iRedAdmin-Pro demo instance.

    We would like to make our supervisors manage their mailing lists themselves. To achieve that, a restricted access to the iRedAdmin-Pro website on our iRedMail server would be required: They shouldn't have access to the other managment pages. It would be best if they couldn't manage mlmmj mailing lists of other supervisors as well.

    If there's no restricted access to iRedAdmin-Pro possible: Is there another WEB-GUI-BASED possibility to meet this requirement?

    Thank you very much!

    Regards,
    Irma

    Is the ACL support built in Nginx enough for you?
    We have a sample code snippet below (it's in /etc/nginx/templates/iredadmin.tmpl on your iRedMail server):
    https://bitbucket.org/zhb/iredmail/src/ … l#lines-20

    iRedMail doesn't integrate Samba, i'm afraid that you have to do it by yourself.

    but i don't understand why it requires Samba and CIFS support if it just needs to query some accounts for authentication.

    is it possible to disable Samba support requirement in FreeNAS?  I saw there's an option "Samba Schema" (checkbox), maybe uncheck it and try again?

    I think this is a mistake of our tutorial, "home" should be without '/Maildir'. I will update the doc immediately.

    UPDATE: Doc has been updated, and I make it even simpler (but return same value):

    user_attrs      = =home=/var/vmail/vmail1/%Ld/%Ln/,=mail=maildir:~/Maildir/

    Seems you have incorrect SQL server address/port/username/password in Amavisd config file. Check settings "@storage_sql_dsn" and "@lookup_sql_dsn".

    on Debian/Ubuntu, Amavisd config files are stored under /etc/amavis/conf.d/, iRedMail configures "50-user".

    I am having problem to receive emails from different domains, Reading the postfix log I noticed the following:

    NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from mail.diamondtrust.co.tz[41.221.53.90]: 450 4.7.1 <esa1.diamondtrust.co.tz>: Helo command rejected: Host not found; from=<prvs=807f07e8f=test@diamondtrust.co.tz> to=<test@eatv.tv> proto=ESMTP helo=<esa1.diamondtrust.co.tz>

    I have tried to add  'check_helo_access' right after 'permit_sasl_authenticated' in main.cf

    and add /^esa1\.diamondtrust\.co\.tz$/OK in /etc/postfix/helo_access.pcre

    I restarted postfix

    and when I tested to send email it is not going through it just create active queue if i checked in maillog.

    I have checked mailq and found this message

    "host esa1.diamondtrust.co.tz refused to talk to me: 421 Server too busy, retry later (highwatermark reached)"

    I ahjve changed the settings in main.cf and helo_access.pcre back to normal but when I send email outside it just keep them in queue.

    Outgoing e-mails from IOS are rejected by server. Incoming messages are working fine. I did a apt upgrade a few days ago but is not sure if that is whats causing the problem. Postfix was upgraded. I have tried to browse different forums, but non of the solutions are working. I wonder if it is a server problem. Webmail (Roundcoube and SOGo) are woking just fine. I can send and recieve.

    The messages are still in my outbox and are not being sent.

    IOS 12
    Mail.app -> Exchange Active-Sync

    Please help me in the right direction.

    In MySQL I have:

    mysql> SELECT User,Host FROM mysql.user;
    +------------------+--------------+
    | User             | Host         |
    +------------------+--------------+
    | amavisd          | 10.133.59.88 |
    | ...        | ... |
    +------------------+--------------+
    15 rows in set (0.00 sec)

    I checked and I tested same username and password that i found in the config file you suggested, from 10.133.59.88:

    # mysql -u amavisd -p
    Enter password:
    Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
    Your MySQL connection id is 5600

    mysql>

    Seems to work perfectly?

    Edit 1: Also:

    mysql> select * from information_schema.views where definer = 'admin_iredmail@%';
    Empty set (0.03 sec)

    mysql> select * from `mysql`.`proc` where definer = 'admin_iredmail@%';
    Empty set (0.00 sec)

    Edit 2: Also, Dovecot's logs are full of:

    Oct 3 05:48:01 mail dovecot: dict(3616): Error: sql dict: commit failed: The user specified as a definer ('admin_iredmail'@'10.133.59.88') does not exist

    I have even recreated the user, but no luck...

  • This is a modified copy of /etc/nginx/templates/iredadmin.tmpl, it should work for you:

    # static files under /iredadmin/static
    location ~ ^/myadmin/static/(.*) {
        alias /var/www/iredadmin/static/$1;
    }

    # Python scripts
    location ~ ^/myadmin(.*) {
        rewrite ^/myadmin(/.*)$ $1 break;

        include /etc/nginx/templates/hsts.tmpl;

        include uwsgi_params;
        uwsgi_pass uwsgi_iredadmin_workers;
        uwsgi_param UWSGI_CHDIR /var/www/iredadmin;
        uwsgi_param UWSGI_SCRIPT iredadmin;
        uwsgi_param SCRIPT_NAME /myadmin;

    }

    # iRedAdmin: redirect /iredadmin to /iredadmin/
    location = /myadmin {
        rewrite ^ /myadmin/;
    }

    # Handle newsletter-style subscription/unsubscription supported in iRedAdmin-Pro.

    What's the error if you send a new testing email?
