    Spam everywhere sad

    I'm still a little confused about this issue. but few questions first:

    - Did you migrate mail accounts from another server?
    - Do the forwarding addresses exist on your server?

    Yes I imported our accounts on new iredmail server via ldapAdmin.exe on windows pc.

    http://www.ldapadmin.org/download/ldapadmin.html

    This allows importing of accounts very easy way, however I did not receive any errors while importing. All accounts straight away came fine on new iredmail server.

    Yes forwarding addresses exist on server and working fine.

    After update from sogo_4.0.2.20180910-1_amd64 to sogo_4.0.2.20181004-1_amd64 all mails and folders from auxiliary IMAP accounts were unvisible.
    After getting back to the former version everything is visible again.
    After Server reboot it's the same again. I noticed, that the localdomain account - the domain of the logged in user - works. The IMAP's server name here is 127.0.0.1 which is, I suppose, the default. Adding an IMAP account from a remote server works too.
    The local server is serving a couple of domains. Adding an account from one of the other local domains, I can't set the server's name to localhost nor to 127.0.0.1. When I use the IP address of the local server or the MX's DNS name, these accounts don't work as described above

    I added the server IP with the mx name in /etc/hosts and now it seems to work.

    Hi - we have very serious trouble - users can change password using icelandic characters (like Á, É, Í, Ó, Ö, Ú, Ý ), Roundcubemail authentification works fine afterwards, however setting up SMTP/IMAP - system would show password is invalid !

    Can you pleas provide fast fix for this :
    1. Either make those letters work everywhere
    2. Or Enable non ascii check in roundcube mail  ?

    Thank you.

    Hi Zhang,

    I double check this morning,

    uncheck Samba Schema will have this error  Notice: samba extensions not detected. CIFS authentication to LDAP disabled.

    check Samba Schema no error message display.

    I think Samba Schema is needed, as of this guideline

    Note LDAP authentication for CIFS shares will be disabled unless the LDAP directory has been configured for and populated with Samba attributes. The most popular script for performing this task is smbldap-tools and instructions for using it can be found at The Linux Samba-OpenLDAP Howto. In addition, the LDAP server must support SSL/TLS and the certificate for the LDAP server needs to be imported.

    from
    https://doc.freenas.org/9.3/freenas_dir … rvice.html

    i have problem on how to populate with samba attribute cause i don't know how to make it work.
    as i don't know how to config the smb.conf

    anyway i have seen my iredmail server have samba attribute using ldap admin software, just don't know how to populate it.

    Have you try before manipulate the ldap databases by using ldapadd command?

    Thanks
    Napoleon

    2. i have checked the uses samba schema. the connection seem success

    I hope anybody with the experiences of using freenas as file server which used iredmail user thru ldap connection can give me some guide.

    right now is that I could not populate the ldap with samba schema as I don't know how

    Disable fail2ban service and try again.

    if not blocked by fail2ban, try this:

    1: send email again
    2: check sogo log file and postfix log immediately to find relevant error/log.

    If there's no any log on server side, better double check the mail server settings in iPhone.

    I disabled fail2ban (systemctl stop fail2ban) and sent a new e-mail. There where no difference in the logs in sogo.log as described earlier. Postfix did not show any logs at all in mail.log. I also tried to put "-v" behind every service in master.cf, to get more verbose logging. No reports. My webmail is still working, but by phone over EAS it is still not working. I have setup the phone as described in https://docs.iredmail.org/activesync.ios.html . Everything i syncing exept outgoing mails. Those fail with the message "The message was rejected by the server".

    Just to add a little bit of context.

    I have two machines (MAIL and DB). The tunnel is active and is making MariaDB (installed on DB) available on MAIL's localhost, port 4002.

    [root@mail ~]# ps xuaw | grep autossh
    user    1140  0.0  0.0   6512   328 ?        Ss   Oct04   0:00 autossh -M 0 -q    -N -o ServerAliveInterval 60 -o ServerAliveCountMax 3 -L 4002:127.0.0.1:3306 tunnel@159.69.42.158
    root      3662  0.0  0.0 112704   976 pts/0    S+   07:22   0:00 grep --color=auto autossh

    I have already created admin_iredmail on DB and I can connect from MAIL using the tunnel.

    [root@mail ~]# mysql -h 127.0.0.1 -P 4002 -u admin_iredmail -p
    Enter password:
    Welcome to the MariaDB monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
    Your MariaDB connection id is 372
    Server version: 5.5.60-MariaDB MariaDB Server

    Copyright (c) 2000, 2018, Oracle, MariaDB Corporation Ab and others.

    Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the current input statement.

    MariaDB [(none)]>

    I believe the problem is simply the fact that the installer is trying to use "localhost" instead of "127.0.0.1" - and therefore is using socket instead of TCP.

    Maybe there is an option to pass "--protocol=TCP" to the MySQL commands in your script - I would rather not change it mysqlf?

    I would like to share a smart tool for easy conversion of CSV file to VCF file formats. CSV to VCF Converter tool is bridge to transfer your CSV contacts file to VCF files. I have also seen an error in other forums for IOS11 that you have to disable http2. I have no http2 on any of my serverblocks in nginx.

    Thank,it is working

    But Hello command rejected still a problem I have tried all the options

    1. add  'check_helo_access' right after 'permit_sasl_authenticated' in main.cf
    2.add /^esa1\.diamondtrust\.co\.tz$/OK in /etc/postfix/helo_access.pcre
    3.Restart postfix

    still the same problem.

    Hi,

    I have set replication having master-slave scenario where I can see all accounts and maillists are automatically populated from master to slave server and the same is visible in Admin-Pro panel.

    However when I try to go into any maillist or settings of maillist it just throws error as:
    Error: Account does not exist. on Admin-Pro panel.

    The same settings and member list I can access on Master server which works fine.

    Here are settings which have been applied on both servers:

    Master:

    #
    # Default indexes.
    #
    index objectclass                                   eq
    index uidNumber,gidNumber,uid,memberUid,loginShell  eq,pres

    index backupMailAddress,memberOfGroup   eq,pres,sub

    moduleload syncprov
    index entryCSN,entryUUID, eq
    overlay syncprov
    syncprov-checkpoint 100 10
    syncprov-sessionlog 200

    Slave:

    syncrepl   rid=001
               provider=ldap://10.0.0.40:389
               searchbase="dc=mydomain,dc=co,dc=uk"
               bindmethod=simple
               binddn="cn=vmail,dc=mydomain,dc=co,dc=uk"
               credentials=password

               attrs="*,+"
               timeout=1

    All email accounts are perfectly synced and accessible on both servers, it's just maillist which is getting stuck somewhere.

  • 10/05/18--11:49: Re: Blocking Fake Emails
  • I also had same issue, I sorted it out by changing on SMTP HELO side: my current /etc/postfix/main.cf is:

    smtpd_helo_restrictions =
        check_helo_access pcre:/etc/postfix/helo_access.pcre
        reject_non_fqdn_helo_hostname
        reject_unknown_helo_hostname
        permit_sasl_authenticated
        permit_mynetworks

    I took permit_mynetworks at the end and majority fake emails got rejected due to non fqdn helo hostname and unknown helo hostnames. Try playing with it if it solves  your issue.
