I have located the /etc/nginx/netdata.users file.
I copied the user:password info. There is only 1 line

    It looks like...
    postmaster@mail.mydomain.com:{SSHA}KTnu6gfKoMoNaWsyysqwTCJL9ufYWhV6Q==

    So I navigate to https://mail.mydomain.com/netdata/
    I am prompted for login.
    I enter...postmaster@mail.mydomain.com as user
    Then... {SSHA}KTnu6gfKoMoNaWsyysqwTCJL9ufYWhV6Q== as password.
    Get a "401 Authorization Required".
So I try again with just KTnu6gfKoMoNaWsyysqwTCJL9ufYWhV6Q== as the password.
    Still no luck.

So what am I doing wrong?
    Thanks

Appears those files do not in fact exist, but I am not understanding where / why it's trying to download those versions?

    Hi,

I have multiple iRedMail servers, many of them hosting 3-4 extra domains, and I would like to consolidate them on a single instance of iRedMail (mail.new.com).

I am a bit unsure about one specific server (mail.tricky.com) who only hosts 1 domain and it has hundreds of mailboxes. What is the best way (DNS and iRedmail wise) to make sure that users only have to insert a new password and they can keep using mail.tricky.com even after the migration?

I imagine that the basic steps are:

    1. Add tricky.com on the new server
    2. Recreate the exact same mailboxes
    3. Transfer the folder from the old vmail to the new one (?)
    4. Maybe I can also transfer passwords from the old DB?

In regards to the hostname, I doubt that simply configuring mail.tricky.com as a CNAME to mail.new.com would do the trick... right?

Did you sign a DKIM signature and include in your DNS records?   I found that to help my similar situation.

I started off with iRedMail to host all my email accounts, but then I had to move some of them to GSuite. GSuite is set up so that it’s highest priority in MX records, which means all the mail gets delivered to Google. There I’ve set up a routing rule so that any unmatched recipient gets forwarded to iRedMail.

Here’s a demonstration of how this looks like:

    iRedMail:
    - first.account@example.com
    - second.account@example.com
    - third.account@example.com
    - fourth.account@example.com
    - fifth.account@example.com
    - sixth.account@example.com

    GSuite:
    - fourth.account@example.com
    - fifth.account@example.com
    - sixth.account@example.com

Any mail addressed to first.account@example.com gets delivered to iRedMail, any mail addressed to fourth.account@example.com gets delivered to GSuite. Which is good.

What I can’t figure out how to do is make iRedMail forward/relay/transport mail to GSuite.

Real world example: if I send an email from first.account@example.com to fourth.account@example.com, it will get delivered to fourth.account@example.com hosted on iRedMail.

In an attempt to make iRedMail deliver to fourth.account@example.com hosted on GSuite I’ve changed fourth.account@example.com to old.fourth.account@example.com, this does not yield the result I wanted.

    /etc/log/syslog shows this error:

    Oct 14 13:45:33 mail postfix/pipe[11822]: 44C9822DF7: to=<fourth.account@example.com>, relay=dovecot, delay=0.14, delays=0.02/0.02/0/0.11, dsn=5.1.1, status=bounced (user unknown)

Is there a way to set up iRedMail to forward certain accounts to GSuite?

In iredmail, under advance setting there is restrict mail user to login from specified IP addresses or networks.
It supposed to allow only the specified ip to login under the user login.
However, upon setting it, it does not take effect, do we need to restart the service to take effect?

    0 0

This is IP restrictions for POP3/IMAP/SMTP services, not for iRedAdmin-Pro login.

Please download iRedMail from our website, SOGo is available on Ubuntu 16.04/18.04:

  • Apache was dropped in recent iRedMail releases, please use Nginx instead.

Try to setup per-user relay of forth.account@ to G Suite smtp server. FYI:
    https://docs.iredmail.org/per-account.transport.html

    0 0

You have to wait for the update in Debian apt repository.

By the way, ClamAV version does not matter that much than the clamav virus signature database.
