Mails deleted from users pcs after connecting to fresh iredmail server

==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release):
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):
- Web server (Apache or Nginx):
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro?
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.

All my users were connected to an Iredmail server either through pop or imap.
for some reasons I had to shutdown the current server and I setup a new iredmail server by the same old configurations and same domain even the same IP address.
once I added the old users by creating user name and mail address to match that on users pcs the disaster occurred specifically on the imap accounts where all mails on users pc deleted during the first synchronization.
THE QUESTION IS WHY MAILS DELETED AND WHY IT WAS NOT UPLOADED TO THE FOLDERS OF USERS ON THE SERVER??

On the last releases you will need to install apt-transport-https before iRedMail if you want Sogo.

so:

apt-get install -y apt-transport-https

IMAP doesn't create a local copy of the emails (I mean, it can be configured to do it, but by default doesn't), just keep an index of email files presented on the server.

If you still have the old server you need to copy the MailDir from each user to the new instalation and set the permissions to vmail:vmail

My problem is that i have no iRedmail web appications loke Roundcube when i have my nginx nextcloud.conf enables.
Nginx is default with iRedMail 0.9.8 and I am a newbie to Nginx - aka i do not understand the configuration of Roundcube in Nginx with the /templates.

How do i make the right Nginx .conf file for Nextcloud that does not break the Nginx setup for Roundcube mail?

Each notification shows the exact file and line which triggers this warning. eg:

Just edit the mentioned file as needed.

You can disable an alarm notification by setting the 'to' line in that file to: silent

Also you should report false or annoying alarms to the Netdata developers.

I didn't try it before, but i think it's possible by adding new SQL-based address book in SOGo to query SQL table "vmail.alias".

Do you have any documentation on the query or table scheme.
I tried to add to SOGo database "users" table multiple entries for the same user or multiple email addresses in email field separated with comma or comma delimited. It doesn't work.
The SOGo "users" tables is created a view of vmail.mailbox tables
https://docs.iredmail.org/sogo-centos-6-mysql.html
https://sogo.nu/files/docs/v2/SOGoInstallationGuide.pdf

This is what I found on internet, but still I not managed to list multiple sender addresses in SOGo

We have just upgraded to the latest 3.1 version.

When using normal user account,  when adding email under "Forward mails to address", we encounter  "Internal Server Error".
However, when using Global admin, we do not have this issue. We checked that when the erros occurs, the email is not saved into the database.

There's no option or wizard where you could define your CardDAV connection within SOGo Web GUI.

Do I have to configure it in the config files?

Updated meetingroom's LDAP data set. Looks like this now:

Creating an event inviting the meetingroom@mycompany.com on saving event the following error message occurs:

Cannot access resource Meetingroom meetingroom@mycompany.com

To fix the issue I'd appreciate, if any Admin having implemented successfully IRM with SOGo and Calendar resources, could provide an example LDIF file of a working resource (e.g. meeting room).

I would like to get rid of unnecessary objectClasses and attributes, repectively, and, of course to include all necessary attributes for an IRM/SOGo calendar resource to work properly.

Thank you very much!

I set the ACL for the meetingroom's calendar to be shared to all authenticated users. Now the "Cannot access..." error message didn't pop up anymore.

The event is being added to the meetingroom's personal calendar and it is auto-accepted.

BUT: If another user creates an event for overlapping times, he is not being notified that the meetingroom is already occupied! --> The FREE/BUSY for the meetingroom apparently are not configured correctly.

There's a great uncertainty about the 'multiplebookings' attribute in the meetingroom's LDAP entry.
I read about possible values '-1', '0' and '1'.
On some pages you read that '1' means 'enabled' and '0' means 'disabled'. Other sources state the '0' means 'unlimited' concurrent bookings possible and '1' means 'only one booking' at the same time possible. According to the SOGo help file, '-1' means 'no limit, but meetingroom will be displayed as BUSY having been booked at least once to the same time'.

What is more, there's also an attribute 'MultipleBookingsFieldName', according to SOGo manuel. BUT: The IRM LDAP server does not provide this attribute! So it is not possible to select it. Or does that 'attribute' refer not to an LDAP attribute but to a SOGo attribute which has to be configured somewhere in the SOGo config files?

I'm in the middle of migrating from an old sendmail/dovecot server, and a lot of the accounts have a .spamassassin/user_prefs file.

How would I go about migrating those settings to iRedMail?

Thanks.

what is the content of your nextcloud.conf? You may just have to create a similar conf-file for roundcube.

Re: Import users from txt file possible?

Thanks, didn't know about that api.

For everyone who's interested:

#!/bin/bash
USER='postmaster@example.org'
PASS='xyz'
RANPASS='xyz123'

curl -X POST -c cookie.txt -d "username=$USER&password=$PASS" https://mail.example.org/iredadmin/api/login

users=$(cat /root/lug/list.txt)
domain="example.org"

for i in $users
do
        curl -X POST -i -b cookie.txt -d "name=$i&mailQuota=0&password=$RANPASS" https://mail.example.org/iredadmin/api/user/$i@$domain
done

Maybe not the nicest code, but it works smile

This is where my newbie-skills hits me. I think that Nginx conf files are way more complicatet than Apache setup files.

iRedMail Nginx setup is handlet through templates files as i understand what it. so either i have to find out how to make a template setup for Nextcloud or i have to make a .conf file setup for Roundcube mail Netdata etc

My present nextcloud conf setup is in my original posting:
