I have a very weird situation going on that I cannot seem to find resolution to when I search online or in these forums.  I host several domains on my mail server for customers and mail is coming in, but only from select domains. For example, mail is being delivered from domains such as Airbnb.com, gmail.com, mailchimp.com, yahoo.com, and some other places.  However, messages are not being received from most other domains we have messages sent from, including facebook.com and other popular domains.  Mail from many private ISP domains are not being delivered, either.  The sender never receives an error message, and when I look in the mail log, there is never any record of these messages reaching the server.  The only record of messages receiving the server are the ones from the domains that are being delivered from that I mentioned above and some other domains, but not many.  I am at a roadblock now on this and need help.  Thanks!

It is - it was Apache so the original configuration of iredmail was done with Apache not Nginx - could this be the issue?

Hi,

after some ports updates/compiles i found an error in /var/log/maillog:

Under /var/run/dovecot/ i found (amongst others) the following files:

What are the required permissions for "stats-writer" ? Or is there another cause for the error message ?

Hello Zhang Huangbin,

we got an issue with the notifiy script. When i set the timezone in /opt/www/iredadmin/settings.py from LOCAL_TIMEZONE = 'GMT' to LOCAL_TIMEZONE = 'GMT+01:00' and one or more user have spam in the quarantine then the script failed:

/usr/bin/python /opt/www/iredadmin/tools/notify_quarantined_recipients.py --force-all
* 8 users are willing to receive notification email.
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/opt/www/iredadmin/tools/notify_quarantined_recipients.py", line 301, in <module>
    time_tuple = time_with_tz.timetuple()
AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'timetuple'

when i change it back to LOCAL_TIMEZONE = 'GMT the script is working well:
/usr/bin/python /opt/www/iredadmin/tools/notify_quarantined_recipients.py --force-all
* 8 users are willing to receive notification email.
* + *****@******.de: 1 mails.

Maybe i do something wrong? Or your script has a problem? Please help us smile

Best wiches

Question about inbound throttling - I'd like to set inbound for a domain at 250 messages per day, but I would like to allow specific inbound emails from outside to a higher threshold. Is that possible?

Addendum.
Inbound throttling doesn't seem to be working. I set one account to throttle inbound to 4 max per day, and so far I have sent 10 emails, and all went through. Am I missing something?

I'm having an issue connecting to the smtp server, after the postfix master.cf file was somehow changed and almost all of the Other external delivery methods were removed when a parameter in postfix main.cf was accidentally set to nothing (smtp-amavis_destination_recipient_limit).

After that happened, mail completely stopped and I've managed to restore incoming delivery, and delivery through SOGo and Roundcube, but I can't connect to the stmp server. Would it be easier to run the installation again, or try to fix the postfix config files?
