  • iRedAdmin-Pro doesn't support setting throttle for external users, but the throttling plugin supports this.
You can find more details and sample in this file (comment lines):

  • Please show me your full uwsgi config file for iredadmin app.

In upcoming iRedMail-0.9.9, iRedAdmin(-Pro) will become a standalone daemon service (ran with uwsgi command).

That plugin is installed and activated - has been since the install.

    # Recipient restrictions
    smtpd_recipient_restrictions =
        permit_mynetworks
        reject_non_fqdn_recipient

I have inbound throttling set in the admin interface, the entries are in the "throttle" table, but throttling is not happening.

    The newest iredapd is installed.

This information doesn't show in the maillog any more. I don't know what I might have done to disable it.

    All that shows now is:
    Nov 29 10:41:09 mail postfix/amavis/smtp[6206]: EF51942D1AA4: to=<user@domain>, relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024, delay=0.26, delays=0.06/0/0/0.19, dsn=2.7.0, status=sent (250 2.7.0 Ok, discarded, id=03448-19 - INFECTED: )

Any thoughts on this? The $log_templ appears to be still properly defined in amavisd.conf.

Sounds like you have improper/incorrect DNS records for these hosted domains, and other mail servers can not correctly find your server by DNS query. I suggest double check.

This means IMAP (port 143) is not running, which means Dovecot is NOT running.

You need to switch to root user with either su or sudo to restart Dovecot service.

Try to restart Dovecot, it should fix the issue by self.

It's better setup a VM and perform iRedMail installation to get a sample (should be same) config file, posting in form and wait may take some time.

This syntax is wrong, it should be:

    mynetworks = 127.0.0.1 172.20.0.8 172.17.0.6 192.168.3.4 172.30.0.3 192.168.2.11 172.17.0.10 172.17.0.20

After above 2 fixes, sogo should be fine.

    You did it wrong.

"Relay received mail to" should be something like: "lmtp:inet:[ip-of-destination-server]:24" (without quotes).

I tried this time zone locally, it works for me.
I wonder whether you have any incorrect char in LOCAL_TIMEZONE value. could you double check?

  • 12/02/18--06:20: Re: Spam checking
  • I don't see any error.

The message "INFECTED" means email contains virus, and "spam" means email is considered as spam.
"discarded" means email was discarded or quarantined into SQL db (or file system, depends on your setting).

Question about inbound throttling - I'd like to set inbound for a domain at 250 messages per day, but I would like to allow specific inbound emails from outside to a higher threshold. Is that possible?

OK, could you please re-describe this requirement with some sample domains? i'm afraid that i don't quite understand what you want. You can use "mydomain.com" for your own (or hosted) domain in your description, and "gmail.com" for external domain.

now i use debian 8 and iredmail, i want to upgrade system to debian 9 and upgrade iredmail via cloud install, can i do it without remove previous version of iredmail 0.9.6?

Currently the cloud platform doesn't support upgrading existing iRedMail server (deployed with the downloadable iRedMail installer).

Please follow our tutorials below instead:

Yes, I understand all that - As I said, up until last week the line in maillog defined in amavisd.conf - $log_temp - was showing as in the example in my posts, and now that is not being shown in maillog. The Spam tags and scores no longer show in the log.

    domain hosted my iredmail: mydomain.com
any inbound mail throttled to 250 messages per day per account
    I would like:
mail from adifferentdomain.com allowed 1000 messages per day total

As I said, throttling is turned on and set to 250 messages per day per account
One test account I set to only 4 messages per day.
Throttling does not appear to be working, as I can send the account that is set to only four messages per day dozens of messages from anywhere, and they are all processed and delivered to the account.

    Hello,

yes i check this many times, change the timezone, change the line etc. :

    #LOCAL_TIMEZONE = 'GMT'
    LOCAL_TIMEZONE = 'GMT+01:00'

do you have any idea? I already set up a new server to reproduce this script error with the same issue. First Ubuntu 18 and on the second try with Ubuntu 16.

  • 12/03/18--03:39: Amavisd zip/rar scanning
  • Hello!

I have installed and got working the following:

    iRM 0.9.8
    Centos 7
    MariaDb
    Nginx

How to configure amavisd to scan attachments, especially archives for viruses, or executables like scripts etc.
I've configured postfix to do so, in log i see that it connect to amavis process, but it passes virus attachment anyway to mailbox.
