I can't authenticate with SMTP

0
0

-iRedMail-0.9.7
- ubuntu 16.04
- mysql
- apache

IT WORKS ON THE IP WHERE IREDMAIL IS INSTALLED BUT WHEN I WORK ON OTHER IPs:

I get this error from laravel 5.2 php framework  (from diffferent host)

Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username "postmaster@mydomain.club" using 2 possible authenticators

Its my first time to use something like that and just installed iredmail on fresh vps. how can I allow SMTP to work with any host ?

seems like it is not allowing other IP to authenticate with

thats my laravel settings:

'driver' => 'smtp',
    'host' => 'mail.webogram.com',
    'port' => 587,
    'from' => ['address' => 'support@webogram.net', 'name' => 'webogram'],

        'ssl' => [
            'verify_peer' => false,
            'verify_peer_name' => false,
            'allow_self_signed' => true,
        ],

Don't think that's supported. Try 16.04/18

Yes I have. Let me know if I'm missing something. My domain is mail.whiletrue.space

I've deployed (3) iRedMail instances over the past 2 years mostly for myself and learning purposes
so forgive me if I missed something obvious however I could not find the specific answer to this
in the forums.  I'm looking to use iRedAdmin-Pro and deploying for a client so I need to actively
solve any issues I've ignored for myself.

On all (3) of my iRedMail instances not a single message has ever gone into the junk folder.  Most
of the time this is ok because spam is spam however if I deploy this for a client I cannot have an
e-mail from a genuine customer on a non-compliant e-mail server vanish into nothingness.  Though
I do not want blacklisted spammers to start filling up the junk folder.

I've read that the default installation sends spam to junk folders.  So I would need to know how I've
broken this on every past deployment.

Let me put it another way: If I actually gave you 285 MB of logs, what would *you* look for? A date and time? An email address? A particular SQL query? A script name? If you can tell me that then I'll narrow it down to a few consecutive lines instead of 285 MB.

Package spamassassin ships a sample spam email, you can copy it as mail body, then send to yourself as a testing. On Debian 9, the file is:
/usr/share/doc/spamassassin/examples/sample-spam.txt

About relevant log, what i mean is log got with steps below:

1) Run "tail -f /var/log/maillog" (or other log file which is involved in your issue)
2) Send test email to trigger the issue
3) Copy all output of the command in step 1). This is relevant log.

If some other log file involved, do it the same way.

ok, it's harder for me to troubleshoot.

Try to turn on debug mode in /opt/mlmmjadmin/settings.py ("log_level =" parameter), restart mlmmjadmin.

If we use the above, will it block all users from logining in except from the specified IP? We are hoping allow the specified IP for the global admin login only and not all users. Is this possible?

Oh, this is simpler.

Add setting "GLOBAL_ADMIN_IP_LIST" in iRedAdmin-Pro config file "settings.py" like below, then restart uwsgi service.

# List of IP addresses which global admins are allowed to login from.
# e.g. ['127.0.0.1', '192.168.1.1']
# Valid formats:
#   - Single IP addess: 192.168.1.1
#   - IP range:         192.168.1.1-30
#   - Whole subnet:     192.168.1
GLOBAL_ADMIN_IP_LIST = ['192.168.1.1', '192.168.2.1']

Any takers on how well a Centos 7 will behave towards iRedMail if a 'yum update' is run??

Just thought I'd let you know I downgraded dovecot back to 2.2 from 2.3 and that solved my problem.

I had installed 2.3 from the dovecot repo for Centos7, and all seemed to work great, except for the sieve issue.

After rolling it back and restoring all of my original conf files everything is back to normal.

I guess I'll wait until there is an official update.

Did you also upgrade package "dovecot-pigeonhole"?

If you just enable CentOS official yum repos, and iRedMail repo (the one added by iRedMail installer during iRedMail installation), it's safe.

yes. looks like this version does not support that. per link: https://roundcube.net/about/

is there a way to install the email cert on server for each mailbox without the email client?
