OK, that's fine. I had to arrange something else for the temporary project I needed the mailing list for, so there's no rush any more. But, of course, I would like it to work as expected. Thanks.

Postfix 3 Update?

Hi Zhang:

Postfix 2.11 stopped to be officially supported back in January 2018 and does not receive updates any more. When can we expect a Postfix 3.0 (or better even 3.3) package from iRedMail to be able to update to?

We would need the "check_sender_a_access" config option, which is available from 3.0 and up only.

If an iRedMail Postfix 3 package is not planned: Are there any expected problems if we use a foreign RPM package for the update and which repo would be recommended for that?

Thanks

iRedMail sticks to official apt/yum repos, but you're free to use some other third-party yum repo AFTER iRedMail installation.

We cannot guarantee anything because it's not built by us.
I suggest you test it with a virtual machine first.

Hi,
This is the postgre official repository. I hope you guys test it because I cannot use the outdated 9.2 for practically anything.
I’m sharing the database with Django who recently dropped 9.3

Thank you!

I've setup a shared folder for a mailbox using the acl plugin of roundcube.

ACL was set correctly:

doveadm acl get -u userA@example.org inbox
ID                                 Global Rights
user=userB@example.org                lookup read write-seen

ACL debugging shows all is fine:

doveadm acl debug -u userB@example.org Shared/userA@example.org
doveadm(userB@example.org): Info: Mailbox 'INBOX' is in namespace 'Shared/userA@example.org/'
doveadm(userB@example.org): Info: Mailbox path: /data/vmail/vmail1/example.org/u/s/e/userA-2018.06.19.10.32.43//Maildir
doveadm(userB@example.org): Info: All message flags are shared across users in mailbox
doveadm(userB@example.org): Info: User userB@example.org has rights: lookup read write-seen
doveadm(userB@example.org): Info: Mailbox found from dovecot-acl-list
doveadm(userB@example.org): Info: User userA@example.org found from ACL shared dict
doveadm(userB@example.org): Info: Mailbox Shared/userA@example.org is visible in LIST

However, Dovecot doesn't show it:

I tried switching it to 9.6, didn't work either. The database just straight out refused to start

When going to Roundcube/Settings/Filters I get error message: 'Unable to connect to managesieve server'.

This issue is already described and resolved for MySQL backend installation in a following thread:

https://forum.iredmail.org/topic14153-r … erver.html

I ran into the same problem, but with OpenLDAP backend, and in that case solution is to add attribute 'sievetls' to 'enabledService', per every user.

I mean iRedMail uses packages offered by Linux/BSD vendors (RHEL/CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu/...), not from software vendors (PostgreSQL). I'm sorry that you have to give it a try yourself.

Another possible solution is, let iRedMail install the old pgsql first, then you upgrade it manually AFTER iRedMail installation.

Re: Shared folders not visable in LIST

Can you see it in Roundcube/SOGo? It may be easier to check than the IMAP protocol interface.

Re: Shared folders not visable in LIST

No.

Obviously if Dovecot doesn't show the folders on a LIST or LIST-EXTENDED command, there is no hope any IMAP tools will see it either.

Re: Shared folders not visable in LIST

I did some debugging in Dovecot (mail_debug = yes):

Oct 26 20:14:02 imap(userB@example.org): Debug: dict quota: user=userA@example.org, uri=proxy::quotadict, noenforcing=0
Oct 26 20:14:02 imap(userB@example.org): Debug: shared: Tried to access mails of nonexistent user userA@example.org
Oct 26 20:14:02 imap(userB@example.org): Debug: maildir++: root=/var/run/dovecot/user-not-found/userA@example.org, index=, indexpvt=, control=, inbox=/var/run/dovecot/user-not-found/userA@example.org, alt=
Oct 26 20:14:02 imap(userB@example.org): Debug: Namespace : /var/run/dovecot/user-not-found/userA@example.org doesn't exist yet, using default permissions
Oct 26 20:14:02 imap(userB@example.org): Debug: Namespace : Using permissions from /var/run/dovecot/user-not-found/userA@example.org: mode=0700 gid=default

So something is wrong in the setup, but what? This is a standard iRedMail installation, only difference is that de vmail tree has been moved from the local disk to an NFS share.

No idea why it says userA@example.org does not exist, it does, I can login using Roundcube, and I can set the ACL on it's inbox.

Writing this, it dawned on me that it could be the location in dovecot.conf no longer maps to the correct place due to the move of the vmail folder?

What does %%Lh resolve to in

location = maildir:%%Lh/Maildir/:INDEX=%%Lh/Maildir/Shared/%%u

Re: Shared folders not visable in LIST

Also, If I check the users Maildir, there is no "Shared" folder so "Maildir/Shares/%%u" can never work?

It gets better, userA@example.org, the user who's Inbox has to be shared, DOES have a Shared folder. In that folder there is a "userA@example.org" folder, which means it shared the Inbox to itself?

Any error in Apache log file when iRedAdmin-Pro got internal server error?

I posted the Apache log in the original post. There is no Internal Server Error. It says it's done it, but it doesn't actually go to the Ldap server and change the attricute. It does however, if I tick an item. It's only unticking (removing) the item that doesn't work.

Hi,

It's solved. I had discrepancy between postfix main.cf
smtpd_tls_mandatory_protocols = !SSLv2 !SSLv3
and dovecot.conf
ssl_protocols = !TLSv1 !TLSv1.1 !TLSv1.2

ssl protocols should equal  smtpd_tls_mandatory_protocols = ssl_protocols
I changed ssl_protocols = !SSLv2 !SSLv3 and issue solved!!!
