Just a quick check, do you have 2 iRedAdmin-Pro licenses for these 2 servers?

Yes, both servers have valid iRedAdmin-Pro licenses.

Could we create 1 x iRedmail Server with iRedAdmin only as a Backup MX to provide MX backup services for these 2 servers while relocating?

Sure.

Good

The domains in MX Backup Server I should point to new IP right?
Domain A point to 10.10.10.10
Domain B point to 20.20.20.20

I'm afraid that i don't quite understand what this means. sad

1 MX backup server can backup multiple domains with different primary mx server IPs?

And which firewall port I need to open for the MX Backup Server?

Just port 25 should be fine (for backup mx service).

Thanks a lot.

To help with SQL. How the columns should look like.
Currently my SQL is:
CREATE VIEW sogo.users (c_uid, c_name, c_password, c_cn, mail, domain) AS SELECT username, username, password, name, username, domain FROM vmail.mailbox WHERE enablesogo=1 AND active=1;

Please advise which column names and values I should create/adjust in order to see multiple aliases selection (sender) in new message

Hello,

I check the log of fail2ban and I saw this line :

And in fact this file does not exit so fail2ban is not running for sshd-ddos

Hi to all,

recently on my server I noticed a big slowdown of the web part as well as via SSH.
That server is a VPS over KVM OpenStack with 1 vCore at 2,4  GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 20 GB SS over RAID.
I checked today and it turns out that the CPU is always 100% with a load avarage of 7.76 9.91 10.14 at this time.
I've restarted the machine and done some checks and there seems to be some problem.

Here a screenshot from HTOP :

I've check the process usage i see that :

Summary : Email filter with virus scanner and spamassassin support
Description :
amavisd-new is a high-performance and reliable interface between mailer
(MTA) and one or more content checkers: virus scanners, and/or
Mail::SpamAssassin Perl module. It is written in Perl, assuring high
reliability, portability and maintainability. It talks to MTA via (E)SMTP
or LMTP, or by using helper programs. No timing gaps exist in the design
which could cause a mail loss.

From /var/log/messages i see the following error message with taile -f messages :

Nov 12 13:38:05 srv-main systemd: amavisd.service start operation timed out. Terminating.
Nov 12 13:38:06 srv-main systemd: Failed to start Amavisd-new is an interface between MTA and content checkers..

I load amavisd in debug mode too, after stop the service with the following command : amavisd -u amavis -c /etc/amavisd/amavisd.conf debug and attach the output to this topic.

Can someone help me out of this issue ?

Thanks again for your assist and regards.

Hasn't rainloops license changed to AGPL for the community version -- which mostly lacks autoupdate features which you wouldn't use anyway.   We could probably work out how to make it work -- but I'd love to see a cookbook / plan for rainloop iredmail integration.

    SOGoSMTPServer = 127.0.0.1:2525;

*) Restart both postfix and sogo services.

I was able to resolve the issue - It was discovered that someone had followed this doc:
https://docs.iredmail.org/allow.insecur … tions.html

Section: Allow insecure SMTP connection on port 25

Once I undid these changes I was able to send mail from iOS again. I believe that your solution above would have also resolved the issue. The changes to port 25 were done while testing a multifunction device, but it was ultimately not used. The changes were never backed out.

Thank you for all the help on this!

Re: Emails recieved and shown as delivered in log but not on server

Below is a log entry for one of the missing emails which shows it was delivered to the mailbox, but going into the mail box and also into the directory structure you will find no email at all. I have gone through all the logs i can find for this one date/time and found not a single error which is extremely puzzling.

On Friday I deleted the user account and recreated the account while preserving the old email directory to see if the issue might be resolved that way.

Any other mail gets through just fine (e.g. sendmail me@comcast.net). I have to wonder about the construct of the message generated by Logwatch. Any troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated!

(Interestingly, rebooting the server usually makes the first message from logwatch go through without a problem, but subsequent days get "stuck")

Thank you!

Hi after spammassisan update , emails started to be denied with message (i replaced emails with  LOCAL_EMAIL (managed by iredmail) or GMAIL_EMAIL(external) not to show them here):

554 5.7.1 <EMAIL_HERE>: Recipient address rejected: Blacklisted

I found out in /var/log/iredapd/iredapd.log

2018-11-13 11:18:27 INFO Blacklisted: wblist=(1, 9, 'B')

if i remove "check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:7777," from postfix config  some mail would start coming, but gmail is not coming without any bounce.

If i check database wblist table has these :
1    1    B
1    3    B
1    4    W
1    6    W
1    8    B

2    10    W
3    10    W
5    11    W

i have remove thosw with "B" and seems things are better, but im stillnot 100% sure, why this happened and how this blacklist started blocking LOCAL mails ?

Can anywone explain how things are working  here and how this could have happened ?

==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release): 0.9.8
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Ubuntu 18.04 lts
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): mysql
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): nginx
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? No
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.

When using the command line tool to create a new mlmmj list, does the list address have to already exist as created in iredadmin or is the address created “virtually” by mlmmj at that time? Thanks.

1. I have installed discourse on www.example.com and it was working fine with Nginx proxy. Then i installed iRedmail latest version and then i am able to login successfully to www.IP-address.com/iredadmin and www.IP-address.com/mail. But now i cant access to discourse. The domain www.example.com is not working. its showing "ssl redirect error". I am using Cloudflare flexible ssl and DNS.

2. Please guide me what to do? what am i doing wrong? Is there any other nginx block configuration or do i need to change any port?

3. I am using these 2 tutorials.
